Postnatal Yoga not only helps to stretch and tone your muscles, but also to find ways of gaining inner strength and balance. It is a safe and enjoyable way of introducing gentle stretching to assist the body in healing after the birth of your baby.
The idea of these classes is to help you strengthen and tone core muscles working the pelvic floor muscles as well which is so important after giving birth.
Positions are adapted so that you can be doing them with, or without your baby (if your baby is sleeping).
You can start these classes at anytime from 6 weeks depending on your birth experience, be guided by how you are feeling. If you had a caesarean section, possibly up to 10 afterwards. please call to discuss if you’re unsure.
